Delhi University’s Mansarovar hostel has asked students to vacate the hostel within a week as the incidence of corona is on the rise in Delhi. In addition to easing the lockdown restrictions, all educational institutions are advising students to return to their hometowns for their own safety.

The Provost of Mansarovar Hostel, in a circular, said: All residents are strongly advised to return to their homes and follow the guidelines issued by the Government of India. ”

Jawaharlal Nehru University also ordered the evacuation of the dormitory after a pharmacist from the university’s health center was caught with Cavid-19.

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal told Nishank that “the government is planning to open all educational institutions across the country by August 15. At present, only schools and universities are allowed to conduct examinations as per the guidelines of the Home Ministry.”
